The knowledge base is what makes CrestBid's answers yours. Every document you add is indexed locally and used to ground generated responses, so drafts cite your real capabilities instead of generic boilerplate.

How ingestion works
- 1Add files to a project's knowledge base.
- 2CrestBid extracts text, splits it into passages, and builds a local semantic index.
- 3At generation time, the most relevant passages are retrieved and used as grounding context.
Keeping it current
Add new material as it's produced and remove anything outdated. A clean, curated knowledge base produces sharper, more accurate responses than a large unfiltered one.
All indexing happens on your machine. No document content is sent to any third party when using a local model.
